The questions we get most

Do I need a registration to buy a harness or tag?

No — generic items (harnesses, metal "Service Dog"/"ESA" tags, plastic designation tags, silicone luggage tag holders, badge holders, velcro patches) ship walk-in to anyone. Personalized items (photo Animal ID cards, Handler ID cards, official letters and certificates, scannable QR tags with your reg #) DO require an active USAR registration since they print your animal's photo, name, and registration number. The shop page badges each item with its requirement.

How fast do things ship?

Most printed items ship within 3 business days from our Oregon facility. Tracking email arrives the moment the label is generated. Digital items (Digital Animal ID, emailed PDFs) arrive within minutes. Harnesses and sized gear can take up to 3 business days if we're restocking your size.

What if my ID card arrives damaged or never shows up?

Open the Replacements tab in your dashboard and tell us what happened. We'll ship a replacement free — no refund paperwork, no restocking fees. This is our 30-day replacement guarantee.

Why is the Housing Letter priced separately — isn't it part of my package?

If you already purchased Classic, Premium, or Elite, a Housing Letter is included — at checkout you'll see it marked "✓ Included with package" instead of a price. The price you see here is for handlers on Essential or Build Your Own adding one à la carte, or anyone requesting a reprint.

Are your harnesses the same as the ones on Amazon?

No — these are our own quality red SD / blue ESA mesh vests with control handle, reflective chest strap, welded D-ring, and swappable Service Dog / Do Not Pet / Service Dog in Training velcro patches. We don't stock on Amazon. The personalization that ties gear to your registration lives on your USAR ID card and certificate, not on the harness.

Why do I need a monthly subscription for Apple / Google Wallet passes?

Apple and Google charge per active wallet pass every month. We pass that cost through at $2.99/mo (Basic) or $4.99/mo (Pro) — no markup. If you cancel the subscription your printed IDs and certificates stay active; only the live wallet pass stops updating.

Can I buy extra IDs for a second animal?

Each registered animal gets its own ID; you can't share one ID across two animals (the photo and name don't match). If you have two service animals, register the second one — our dashboard supports multiple registrations under a single email, and we offer a 15% family discount at 3+ animals.

What's your return policy?

We don't accept returns on personalized printed items — once your photo is on a card we can't resell it. Instead, our 30-day replacement guarantee covers damaged, lost-in-transit, or printed-wrong items. For unused, non-personalized gear (harnesses, collars, leashes in original packaging), we offer a 14-day exchange for a different size. Full details on the refund & replacement policy.
