What this tag is and isn’t
An emotional support animal does not have ADA public-access rights — those belong to trained service dogs. ESA protections live in two narrower federal lanes: the Fair Housing Act (reasonable accommodation in housing, supported by a letter from a licensed clinician) and, since the DOT’s 2021 rule change, a small number of airline policies that still permit ESAs in cabin.
