Description

Built for the dog that’s working all the time.

A psychiatric service dog is a working dog under the ADA — task-trained to mitigate a handler’s psychiatric condition. The harness has two jobs: signal “this dog is working” to the world around you, and give the handler a reliable contact point when the dog is performing a task. This one does both.

What’s in the box

  • Red reflective harness body — padded chest plate, two adjustable side straps, reinforced stitching at every load point.
  • Control handle on the top of the harness — close-leash work, deep-pressure tasks, bracing, blocking — without dropping the leash.
  • Two removable hook-and-loop patches reading “SERVICE DOG” — leave them on for full disclosure, swap them for blanks if you’d rather not announce.
  • D-ring for ID/key tags. Reflective stitching on the body for low-light visibility.

Sizing

XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL. Each size measured chest-girth, NOT collar size — measure from just behind the front legs around the widest part of the chest. The product page size selector lists the exact ranges. If your dog falls between sizes, pick UP — the chest plate is adjustable down but not up.

Why this harness specifically

  • Two-point clip — handle on top, leash D-ring on the back — for the tasks that need both hands free or one hand directly on the dog.
  • Heavy reflective stitching — visible at 50 ft in headlights, useful for early-morning or nighttime work.
  • Removable patches mean the same harness can be a “training day” rig (patches off) or a “task day” rig (patches on).

What this harness is and isn’t

A harness is working equipment, not a legal credential. Your psychiatric service dog’s public-access rights come from task training under the ADA — not from the harness, the patches, or any registry (ours included; no national PSD registry exists). The harness makes the dog easier to control and easier for the public to recognize as working. The legal protection comes from how the dog was trained.

Pairs naturally with: a metal harness tag, a reflective leash, and a full USAR PSD registration if your dog isn’t already on file.

Ships in 3 business days. 30-day replacement guarantee.

I like it to be honest, it helps me out with my housing and what not because he's not considered a pet due to him being registered.

Exactly what we were looking for....awesome organization

Roxie

We were looking for some better, more obvious way to demonstrate that we had a Service Dog. While we had a letter from a professional that one was recommended, it was still awkward and disclosed more information than the law required. Hooking up with US Service Animal Registrar was awesome because we now have all the visible documentation that makes it easy to show those who ask for proof. The documentation is so professionally done and easy to use.

The personalized materials were produced and shipped promptly and we appreciate all the help and education that were were provided. I only have two small issues. The email that said that our package ws delivered 3 times over 5 days....a minor system glitch. The other was a message that I sent on how to put the Service Dog vest on our dog....I never got an answer, but it was easy to figure out with the dog in front of me. I'm not holding that against them. Because of these small issues, I only gave them 4 stars, highly recommend them.

Since getting my ID, I’ve been able to go into any restaurant with my Yorkshire Terrier. He is my faithful friend and has helped me overcome my depression. I recommend this place for getting the service animal card.

Best site around

This site was so easy to navigate and use to find what I needed to register my dog as ESA. I love the ID that it comes with and the fact that I have a whole profile that I can log into and see everything quick and easy.

Easy Process

Molly

They made the process of registering very easy and with the documentation provided I feel very confident I will not incur problems from ignorant people who don’t know the law. Also, with documents to fly I feel I won’t have issues when taking Molly with me. I highly recommend this company.
