A psychiatric service dog isn’t an emotional support animal. Under the ADA, PSDs are task-trained working dogs — trained to perform specific work for a handler’s psychiatric condition (PTSD, anxiety, panic disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, and other DSM-5 conditions). Same legal posture as a guide dog or mobility-assist dog: full public access rights, ACAA cabin travel, FHA housing protections.

PSD public-access rights under the ADA come from your dog’s task training for a psychiatric disability — not from any tag, vest, certificate, or registry (no national service dog or PSD registry exists, ours included).
